Jug, fr:Cruche, eu:Pegar, gascon:Pegà, from Montory, French Basque Country. Documentation note: The piece of pottery that appears in this file, not is a botijo. It's a typical piece in the "pottery of water" in the North of Spain and South of France, of possible origin franco (old tribal french) as "càntir, the doll and the mamet" introduced by the restocking of the Marca Hispanica in the Catalunya Vella. Also produced in the Basque country, as a vessel of the same family as the "Biscay pitcher" (Basque: "pegarra, pedarra or kantarue"), higher than this and used for drinking during the agricultural tasks.
